An aspect of the ARCS model that I feel most comfortable with is “attention”. Some of the traits of this are active participation, humor, variety, examples, etc. I feel as though I do a really good job at drawing active listening and participation to lessons and I try to keep it as relevant for the kids as possible. I also feel like “confidence” is an easy one for me too. I like giving the learner control and providing helpful feedback. “Satisfaction” is one of my favorites to use because this is where rewards and praise come into play. The aspect I’m not as confident in is probably relevance. It is sometimes hard to draw a lesson back to its real world relevance.
